Equipping God's People to Create Missional Culture

Fresh Expressions National Gathering – March 16-17, 2012

This coming Sunday, March 11th at midnight is the last chance to register for the Fresh Expressions National Gathering, which is taking place March 16-17 at the First Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA.  the plenary speakers include Graham Cray, Reggie McNeal and Jo Saxton.

You can learn more about this gathering here.  This inaugural gathering will enable you to explore creative ways in how to incarnate the good news to people groups who don’t know Christ.

I have a couple of break out sessions that I will be doing.  Here are the titles and descriptions.

Gathering and Developing a Team for Fresh Expressions
If you desire fruitfulness in your venture, gathering the right team is important. The right team will have its weaknesses and flaws, but history has shown that there are some fundamental factors which must be considered when discerning who should serve with you.  Once you have your team, you must learn to create a culture which will foster the growth and development of the team.  This workshop will be interactive in nature, so come ready to participate.

Understanding Your Role in Starting a Fresh Expression
One does not have to manufacture Fresh Expressions. Starting a Fresh Expression is a matter of knowing God, knowing (and being) yourself, and finding a place with others to carry out God’s mission.  The focus of this session is growing in self-awareness, so that you might live out your true self. Are you an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher?  How do you uniquely live out who you are in a Fresh Expression?

You can learn more about the break outs here, and register for the conference here.  I hope to see you there!
